BANKING AT EASTER

Facilities similar to those provided previously at Easter and Christmas will be made available again by the Bankers’ Association on the Thursday before Easter, April 15, between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. At each of 24 major centres, including Christchurch and Ashburton, one trading bank will accept locked bags or sealed packets containing notes and cheques (but not coin) for safe custody from customers of all banks.

Bank customers wishing to use the service should consult their own bankers.
