URGE FOR FIRES
(N.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 1. Eric James Moroney, aged 42, a hospital orderly, said he had an urge to light fires when he was intoxicated, Sergeant G. W. Herbert told Mr H. Jenner Wily, S.M., today. Moroney pleaded guilty to four charges of wilfully setting fire to buildings. The Magistrate convicted him on all charges and remanded him in custody to Friday, saying he would consider sending him to the Supreme Court for sentence. The police had said damage in the fires amounted to £B6O.
