13 Fish Taken

AUCKLAND, February 28. Thirteen fish were caught today in the second day of the 1965 New Zealand big game fishing contest. This brings the total fish caught so far at the six bases to 21 —10 biilfish and 11 sharks. The heaviest fish caught to date, a 7771 b black marline, was weighed tn at Russell on Saturday night. It was landed by Mr T. Bee, of Whangarei, from the launch Esperanza 11. In the billfish and shark section the leading boats are: Renehau (Tauranga), 1086 points, 1; Esperanza II (Bay Of Islands), 1032, 2; Lady Doreen (Bay Of Islands), 693. 3. The leading boat in the yellowtail and Tuna section is the Rob Roy (Kawau Island) with 101 points.
