The Australian Cancer Society plans to ask the Federal Government to ban cigarette advertising on television, the society’s public education officer, Dr. A. Maclaine, says-.
Remanded.—George Robert Chase, aged 38, a workman, was remanded on bail until today on a charge of unlawfully taking a bicycle, valued at £l5. when he appeared before Mssrs W. J. Baxter and S. D. Birch. Justices of the Peace, in the Magistrate’s Court on Saturday.
