McLaren’s First Win

W.Z. Press Assn —Copyright > LAUNCESTON. February 28. The New Zealand driver, Bruce McLaren, won the Tasmanian road racing championship at Longford in record time yesterday. The win was his first in this year’s Tasman championship series. Jack Brabham was second, I.2sec behind, and the Englishman. Graham Hill, was third. 6sec back. Brabham and Hill drove Repco Brabhams.

McLaren had the fastest lap, 2min 20.3 sec, and won 100 bottles of champagne and the pole position for the Australian Grand Prix at Launceston on Monday.
