MULTIPLE LISTING

Rise In Sales In 10 Months

Sales through the Christchurch Multiple Listing Bureau rose by 131 to 625 in the 10 months to the end of January, says the secretary-mana-ger (Mr J. Prendergast). The value of these sales was £2,249,107, or £626,457 higher than for the same period last year.

Listings in the 10 months were down slightly from 1254 to 1190 but the higher number of sales was proof that better class properties were being listed, he said. The percentage of sales to listings rose from 39.4 to 52.5. Listings in January were steady at 89.
