Conductor Dies

Heinz Unger, the former conductor of the London Philharmonic and London Symphony Orchestras, died in Toronto on Thursday. He was 69.
The German-born British conductor recently celebrated his 50th anniversary as a conductor and a few weeks ago was honoured by the West German Government for his contributions to music.
