£500 Raised By Rotary

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, February 28. Nearly £5OO was raised for two causes from collections held at the ninth annual conference of Rotary District 292, Auckland, in the week-end. The “good neighbour team” of Volunteer Service Abroad aiding the Thais will receive £2BB. The Save the Children Fund will also benefit to the extent of £lBO. The conference was told that the Rotary-sponsored New Zealand Craftsman Training Foundation had received £2OOO in donations and promises from business houses in its first month of appeal. The foundation aims to send outstanding young craftsmen overseas for experience in foreign industry.
