Applicants must also have experience of museum display and be primarily interested in problems of communicating science to the general public both by static displays In museum galleries and by other means. The Curator of Display will be responsible to the Director for the administration of display personnel and the co-ordin-atlon of public display. He will not be required to curate any of the scientific collections of the Museum. The appointment will be on the scale Curator Grade II £A1707-£A2332 with a starting salary commensuate with experience and qualifications. Membership of the State Superannuation Scheme is available to Museum staff. The appointee will be expected to develop appropriate undergraduate and postgraduate courses in this field and to conduct and initiate research either independently or in. collaboration with other professors whose interests overlap his own. The possibility of his assuming responsibility for the University’s computer centre, which will continue to provide a Universitywide service, is contemplated. Salary: £A5200 per annum.
