Attempt On Strait

(.V Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Feb. 21. The American longdistance swimmer, Mary Margaret Revell, has given herself two weeks to get ready to swim Cook Strait

Miss Revell arrived in Auckland on Saturday and flew to Wellington later in the day. Today she had her first taste of New Zealand water when she trained at Evans Bay.

She said that for three years she had nursed a burning ambition to swim the strait. She wanted to come to NewZealand earlier in the season but found it difficult to find a backer to fly her from London. j A Wellington publican and former champion New Zealand swimmer. Mr Jack Young, is arranging all aspects of her Cook Strait attempt. . , . Miss Revell said she thought the Cook Strait swim was the most difficult in the world.
