Against Test

(N.Z. Press Association) GISBORNE, Feb. 21. The New Zealand Freezing Workers’ Association has decided to give full support to the New Zealand Federation of Labour in any action against the proposed French bomb tests in the Pacific. The decision was made during the two-day national conference which concluded in Gisborne on Friday. “We further endorse a proposal to call a conference of all trade unions bordering the Pacific to determine action to stop the French Government pursuing its present policy to ignore world opinion against nuclear testing.” the general secretary, Mr F. E. McNulty announced after the conference.
