WHANGAREL The first day of the Northland Trotting Club’s autumn meeting was held in fine weather and the track was in good order. The totalisator handled £27,809 10s on course, including £4002 on doubles, and £71,368 10s off-course including £38,677 10s on doubles.
Last year on-course betting amounted to £25,707 15s and off course betting to £50,781. The T.A.B. double, Adios Command (15) and Caught Napping (3), paid £l5l 14s 6d for £l.
