GRADUATES’ CLUB

Application For Charter

The whole question of establishing a social club for university graduates in Christchurch rested entirely on whether the Licensing Control Commission would grant the University of Canterbury Association a club charter authorising it to sell and dispose of liquor, said Mr N. B. Ullrich, a member of the organising committee, vesterday. Mr Ullrich said the association had already applied to the commission for a charter. Working plans have been completed for alterations to the former Velvet Glove restaurant in Worcester street which would be used for the club.
