Air Marshal P. G. Wykeham, the Royal Air Force commander in the Far East, will arrive in Wellington on February 24. During his stay in Wellington Air Marshal Wykeham will meet the Minister of Defence (Mr Eyre) and have discussions with the Chiefs of Staff and the Air Board.—(N.ZJ’A.) Dr. W. B. Sutch will be the guest of the council of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association and representatives of other organisations in Christchurch on March 17 at 5 p.m. The meeting will be a farewell to Dr. Sutch, who is retiring from the post of Secretary of the Department of Industries and Commerce.

Mr Alexander Ross, formerly of Wellington, chairman of the United Dominions Trust and the New Zealand committee of the recentlyformed Commonwealth Exports Council, was one of the 16 leaders of Britain’s export industries invited to a “working dinner” at 10 Downing Street by the Prime Minister (Mr Wilson).

Mr S. McLeod, economic counsellor in London for the last two and a half years, was given a farewell party at New Zealand House on Tuesday. Mr McLeod has represented New Zealand at G-A.T.T. and O.E.C.D. meetings and at the World Trade Conference in Geneva.
