OVERSEAS TESTS

Radio Link Unlikely

(From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, Feb. 16. There is little likelihood of direct broadcasting of New Zealand’s cricket matches in India or Pakistan. The New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation has received a cablegram from All India Radio expressing regret that it is unable to provide beaming facilities for matches in the New Zealand series.

Replies from Radio Pakistan indicate that this is also likely to be the position in that country. The New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation is making full inquiries about other means available, and if these fail will arrange for the receipt of cabled reports of the matches. A full report of the coverage to be given by the corporation will be available in a few days.
