Supreme Court THEFT OF WIRE
Three Found Guilty
A jury in the Supreme Court yesterday found three men guilty of the theft of 9001 b of copper wire. They were remanded in custody for sentence on February 23. The men are Reginald Mori, aged 51, a baker (Mr P. G. S. Penlington); Stanley Wallace Ross, aged 42, a welder (Mr M. F. Hobbs); and Crosbie Frank Cook, aged 41, a workman (Mr R. A. Stewart).
They had pleaded not guilty to a charge of having stolen from the Racecourse Hill Railway Station on October 14, 9001 b of copper wire, the property of the Railways Department, valued at £37 10s. Mr Justice Macarthur was on the bench. Mr C. M. Roper appeared for the Crown.
