QUALIFYING TRIALS
Best Time By Hazard
Hazard, a failure in the Canterbury Park Stakes last Saturday at Addington, qualified in the fastest time at trials held yesterday at Ashburton. Hazard paced the 12 furlongs in 3min 20 l-ssec after speeding over the first mile in 2min 12 3-ssec. Hazard, a member of D. P. Grice's Prebbleton team, is a three-year-old filly by Brahman from the New Zealand Oaks winner. Petro Star. Hazard was driven by R. Young, who drove Countess Belmer tn win the first heat in 3min 25sec. and her halfsister, Ingleburn, to win the third heat in 3min 21sec. These two are out of Ingle Belmer and are owned and trained by P. A. Watson, at Methven. Results:
