First Check This Year To Trading In N.Z.
Trading on New Zealand Stock Exchanges yesterday suffered its first check this year as falls by New Zealand and overseas issues outnumbered rises.
Some good gains were made by New Zealand shares, especially unlisted stocks. Christchurch Press rose Is to 71s, Scott Commercial 2s to 32s and Steele Is to 275.
Mount Isa traded 6d down at 30s 3d and Canterbury Frozen Meat fetched 40s 6d in a first ex bonus sale.
