Two Killed, Six Hurt

(N.Z Press Assn. —Copyright) MADRAS, February 16. Two persons were killed and six injured yesterday when police fired ,on a mob of 10,000 people setting fire to a railway station. A curfew was later clamped down on the town of Nellore in Andhra state. All colleges and schools were closed in Nellore. Agitation against adoption of Hindi as India’s official language erupted in many Andhra towns yesterday. Police tear-gassed a mob of 5000 at Anatapur, girl students in Kurnwool went on a fast, and trains were halted at Dharmavaram.
