Merinos Fully Firm (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, Jan. 20. Wool auctions continued today in the Sydney series No. 10 under strong competition from buyers acting on behalf of Japan, the Continent, Eastern Europe and the United Kingdom. Values for all descriptions of Merino fleece and skirtings were quoted fully firm when compared with the previous day’s closing levels. Under keen demand, comeback, crossbred and carding wools were firm. Thirteen thousand one hundred and twelve bales were offered and 12,995 bales, or 99.11 per cent, were sold at auction. All cleans prices unchanged on yesterday’s quotations.

Crossbred prices: 56’s, good average, 64}d; 60’s, good, 74d.
