Car Crashed Into Yards

A 38-year-old soldier from Trentham Camp, whose name is being withheld until the police have notified his next-of-kin, was killed today when the car in which he was a passenger crashed into the stockyards near the Mangaweka railway station. The dead man was thrown out of the car into the yards.
Two other men in the car were admitted to Taihape Hospital with minor injuries. They are Stewart Jepson, of Trentham, cuts on the head and abrasions; and Zoton Miklos, of Rintoul street, Wellington, concussion and bruises.
