Wilkin (Palmerston North) 0, R. Phillips (Auckland) 1: K. Steele (Wellington) 0, R. O’Callahan (Wellington) 1; R. Sutton (Auckland) 0, R. A. Court (Wellington) 1; A. Feneridis (Wellington) }, Z. Frankel (Wellington) }. At that stage Phillips had eight points, Sarapu seven, and Sutton 61.
