Two Score Doubles In National Archery

GISBORNE, Jan. 5. Two youngsters scored doubles at the New Zealand archery championships in Gisborne today- _ . The 15-year-old Stanley Culpitt, of Auckland, retained his short range and open titles and an U-year-old Gisborne boy, P. Butler, won both the junior boys’ short range and open titles.

The Aucklander, W. Thompson, defeated Gisborne’s top bowman, W. J. Burton, comfortably in the Masters class to take the men’s open tiUe. The holder, J. Brunnlng, of Westport, finished sixth. The only title-holder to retain his open crown was L. N. Lamberg, of Rotorua, who decisively defeated Mrs J. Spiers.
