SPACE FOR 6 HORSES
Special Flight
To Australia
The aircraft bringing horses from Australia to compete at the Inter-Dominion Championship series starting at Forbury Park on February 20 will have space for six horses on its return flight. Already the connexions of several gallopers and trotters had shown interest in the flight said the president of the New Zealand Trotting Conference (Mr W. H. Roche) yesterday. No definite date had been set for the flight, but at the moment it appeared as though it would be between February 5 and 9. said Mr Roche. The aircraft would travel from Sydney to Melbourne and then on to Christchurch. The aircraft would probably return to Australia the same day.
Subsidy To Be Discussed
The question of providing a special subsidy for the trans-Tasman transportation of horses competing at InterDominion Championship series either in Australia or New Zealand was discussed at a special meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Trotting Conference in Christchurch yesterday. The meeting decided to have the question placed on the agenda of the meeting of the Inter-Dominion Trotting Conference to be held in Dunedin on February 27.
