Extension

The embankment at Eden Park, Auckland, is to be extended to allow the park to hold up to 90,000 people. The bank will be extended from the new grandstand to the main stand. Part of it will ''be terraced. This will increase the capacity of that area from 15,000 to about 23,000. Some of the work will be completed for the next Rugby season, but it will be designed to allow the erection of a second deck later to bring the park capacity to 80,000 or 90,000 persons. /
