FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—The anti-cyclone east of New Zealand is moving slowly north-eastwards. A frontal zone over the Tasman Sea is moving slowly eastwards. Forecast: Canterbury.—Winds mainly moderate northeasterlies; extensive areas of fog or low cloud this morning and again tonight; cloud breaking during the day; some isolated afternoon showers or thunderstorms on the ranges. Outlook: little change. Buller and Westland.—Moderate winds, mainly northerlies; becoming rather cloudy; some patches of early morning drizzle, but more general showers later in South Westland; warm. Outlook: becoming showery. Nelson and Marlborough.—Moderate winds, mainly easterlies or northerlies; mainly fine and’ warm; some areas of morning low cloud and a few scattered afternoon showers on the ranges.
