One City Road Accident
Only one road accident involving injury in Christchurch and suburbs was reported between midnight on Saturday and 11 p.m. yesterday. Miss Lois Newton, aged 20. of 5 Hoani street, suffered shock when the car in which she was a passenger overturned at the corner of Marshland road and McSaveneys road at 1 a.m. yesterday. She was treated at the Christchurch Hospital and discharged.
There are still many quiet pubs in the land and it is therefore permissible for pub owners who wish to encourage singing to do so.—City Court in Glasgow.
