ARRESTED IN HAWAII

Woman From Waitara (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 25. Detective-Sergeant G. Hogan, of New Plymouth, left Auckland tonight for Honolulu to extradite a Waitara woman held there. The woman. Lesley Francis Holmes, aged 24, was arrested on a warrant alleging she obtained about £3OOO by false pretences. She was arrested about midnight last night in Waikiki on a warrant issued by Judge Tavares at the request of a Honolulu attorney, Mr W. Swope, representing the British Consul, Mr R. T. Landale. She will be held in custody until Detective-Sergeant Hogan arrives.
