Died After Fainting

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 23. A young girl who fainted in her school swimming baths a week ago and was later admitted to Auckland Hospital died in hospital early this morning. She was Gillian Marcia McEwan, aged 10, daughter of Mr M. McEwan, of 488 Blockhouse Bay road. The girl was in the learner pool with members of her class on December 15 when she appeared to faint and was taken from the baths unconscious. She was seriously ill when admitted to hospital and she died at 2.30 a.m. today.
