Six Injured In Accidents

Five persons were injured tn road accidents in Christchurch yesterday, and one in an industrial accident, none of them seriously. Mrs E. M. Allan, of 45 Dalkeith street, suffered leg injuries when her cycle and a car collided in Antigua street at 8.31 a.m.

A pedestrian, Mrs N. Enright, of 313 Madras street, suffered head and leg injuries when a motor-cycle hit her at the corner of Manchester and Salisbury street At 5.28 p.m., Mr R. L. Alston, of 12 Alexandra street, suffered abrasions when two cars collided at the corner of Dyers and Maces roads. Mr J. M. McDonald, of 28

Flockton street, suffered back injuries when a car hit a stationary car at the corner of Barbadoes and Tuam streets at 6.45 p.m. Mrs R. E. Shaw, of 237 Innes road, suffered minor injuries when three cars were involved in a collision at the corner of Papanui and Hawthorne roads at 6.21 pm. At 8.20 am, John Hamilton. of 140 Marshland road, suffered leg injuries when a welding plant overbalanced at the premises of Certified Concrete, Ltd., Blenheim road. Mrs Enright was the only one admitted to the Christchurch Hospital, the others being treated and discharged. Mrs Enright’s condition last evening was satisfactory.
