WINNER TWICE

The Addington trainerdriver, K, D. Murray, had a successful first visit to Auckland when he drove two winners on the first night of the Auckland Cup meeting on Saturday. As well as driving Grande Garnison to win the Christmas Handicap, he was successful with Golcourt in the second division of the Freyberg Handicap. R. Purdon was incorrectly given as the driver of Golcourt in the results of the meeting published yesterday. Murray will drive at the Ashburton meeting on Saturday and return north for the second night at Auckland next Monday. Murray has been engaged for Grande Garnison and also Gay Reel in the Auckland Cup.
