Cable Fed Into Store
(N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 16. The cable ship Photinia is feeding five miles of maintenance cable into storage at Miramar. The cable, fed from the bows of the ship under the road, is being hoisted by a tractor over a huge gantry. One reel has been laid so far and it is estimated the operation will be completed in two days. The Photinia will sail when the job is finished.
