Chatham 1s. Constable

Constable W. W. Maloney, of the Christchurch Central Police Station, has been transferred to the Chatham Islands. With his wife and two young children he will take up his new post towards the end of January. He will replace Constable C. Stevenson, who is being posted to Rakaia. Constable Maloney has been in the plain clothes inquiry office in Christchurch for the last eight years. He is a prominent axeman and has won many trophies on the West Coast and in Canterbury.
