SKELLERUP PLANS
Bonus, Issue, Share Split Plans for a one-for-two bonus issue of 20s ordinary stock units and sub-division of both ordinal and preference 20s units into 10s shares have been made by Skellerup Industries, Ltd., Christchurch rubber goods manufacturers. Proposals for the issue, from pre-1957 profits, will be put to shareholders at a meeting on March 19. They will also be asked to approve increasing nominal capital by £450,000 to £lm. Skellerup’s present ordinary capital is £354,389 and this will be lifted to £531,583 if shareholders approve the move.
Directors expect to maintain the 10 per cent ordinary dividend on the increased capital. On last balance date, March 31, total capital was shown as £554,389 and reserves of £1,586,162.
Skellerup shares were listed in 1961 when the 20s ordinaries sold at 555. Last sales before the bonus issue news were made at £6 15s in Auckland and Christchurch on Tuesday.
