Praise For Council

The Heathcote County Council was yesterdaypraised by the chairman of the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board (Mr J. VV. Kealy, S.M.) for the manner in which it heard evidence for and against the establishment of a Hohepa home in Hackthorne road.

“It is very pleasing to see a local body obviously going to very great pains to follow the strict procedures as set out in the Act,” he said. “The council was scrupulous to see that everyone was given his right to be heard.”
