ROSSALL ST. DEVIATION

£39,000 Scheme Approved

The deviation of Rossall street into Strowan road was estimated to cost £39,000, which included £lB,OOO for compensation, the works committee reported to the City Council last evening. The bridge to Poynder avenue would be rebuilt, and this would cost an estimated £7OOO. This would be subject to the normal bridge replacement subsidy for the National Roads Board. An application was being made to the board for a free grant of £39,000 to do the deviation.
