N.Z. Trees

New Zealand trees have been planted in Byblos, in northern Lebanon, by a New Zealander, Mr N. D. Nairn, who has retired to a new home he has built there. Mr Nairn is one of two brothers who began the Beirut-to-Bagdad bus service across the desert. He planted the trees as a reminder of his homeland. They included pohutukawa, kowhai and rata.
