MR I. A. PARTON (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 15. Mr Ivan Albert Parton, president of the New Zealand International Grand Prix Association for the last three years, died in Auckland today. He was 52.Mr Parton was actively connected with the promotion and administration of motor sport in this country for nearly 20 years. A foundation member of the Grand Prix Association, he was on its executive from the inception of the association until being elected president three years ago.

He was instrumental in the establishment of the grand prix circuit at Pukekolhe. . Mr Parton was president of the Auckl and Car Club from 1953 to 1956 and was on the executive of the Association of New Zealand Car Clubs, the Controlling body of motor sport in this country, from 1956 to 1959. He was a keen trials competitor and won the 24-hour Hepolite trial in 1957.
