TRANSPORT ACT, 1962 ON an application by the N.Z. Carriers’ Federation (Inc.) the Commissioner of Transport has granted an Increase of 5 per cent on maximum rates in all town cartage rates schedules and at the same time has cancelled the decision dated September 16, 1964, granting a 2J per cent increase. The full decision, which has immediate effect, may be inspected at the Transport Department, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Whangarei, Hamilton, New Plymouth, Rotorua, Tauranga, Palmerston North, Gisborne, Napier, Blenheim, Nelson, Greymouth, Invercargill, Wanganui, Hastings, Timaru, Oamaru. Any appeal must be lodged with the Secretary, Transport Charges Appeal Authority, Transport .Department, Private Bag, Wellington, on or before January 4, 1965. The maximum rates in those two area schedules are increased by 1 per cent.
