EXPORTS TO CUBA
British Have Selling Spree (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, December 15. British exports to Ameri-can-boycotted Cuba have hit new heights this year, but trade sources said it was doubtful whether the selling spree could last much longer, United Press International reported. They said persistent reports of Cuba’s shaky financial position indicated a cutback in trade might be forced by economic considerations rather than political motives. This year, Britain’s sales to Cuba have hit their highest point since 1959. Dr. Castro, the Premier, was expected to try to keep the British market open to offset the United States economic blockade effects.
