Canal To Seville
(N.Z.P.A. -Reuter—Copy right) MADRID, December 14. The Spanish Parliament today approved a bill to authorise the construction of a 42-mile canal from the sea to Seville as a major step to boost the lagging economy of southern Spain. The canal will allow ships up to 24,000 tons to enter the inland port of Seville.
