Climbing Trip After Run
(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Dec. 15. The Otahuhu runner, D. Stephenson, attempting to break M. Telford’s time for the Auckland-Wellington run, plans to go climbing in the Southern Alps as soon as he has finished the run. Stephenson, running at about nine miles an hour, reached Taumarunui shortly after 5.30 p.m. today, completing nearly 65 miles for the day.
