FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—An anti-cyclone in the central Tasman Sea is moving towards the North Island. Forecast: Canterbury and the Kaikoura Coast.—Northeasterlies soon predominating and becoming fresh for a time in the east; partly cloudy, with rising temperatures, especially inland. Nelson and Marlborough.—Moderate northerlies gradually prevailing, freshening later about Cook Strait; partly cloudy, with rising day temperatures. Buller and Westland.—Moderate variable winds; partly cloudy; becoming milder.
