A vegetarian has asked for something different to try, so here is a recipe to recommend. Noodles and Prunes. This is also a good luncheon dish for . a Friday or any other meatless day. You Will Need: 2 cups stoned prunes I cup sugar Juice of 1 lemon and rind Boz Noodles. 2oz butter A few breadcrumbs 1 level tablespoon brown sugar Salt and pepper. Method: Place the prunes in a saucepan and add i cup sugar, the juice of the lemon and just enough water to cover. Simmer until tender. Allow to cool. Remove the prunes from the water. Drain and chop them finely. Sprinkle them with the lemon rind.

Boil the noodles in well salted water for nine to 10 minutes. Drain and toss in the butter. Combine with the prune mixture. Season lightly and turn into a buttered casserole dish. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Dot with a little butter and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake in a moderate oven 350 deg Fahrenheit for approximately 10 minutes.
