UNIVERSITY VACANCIES THE UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY invites applications for a LECTURESHIP—SENIOR LECTURESHIP IN ANIMAL HUSBANDRY Candidates should be graduates in Veterinary Science, Agricultural Science or Rural Science with extensive post-graduate experience and preferably a higher degree. The successful applicant will be stationed in Sydney and will be responsible, under the direction of the Professor of Animal Husbandry, for a large part of the second year courses in Animal Husbandry. The Department of Mathematical Statistics provides undergraduate courses in the Faculties of Science and Arts. Facilities for advanced and postgraduate training are also available. The current research interests of the Department are in the fields of inference, testing of hypothesis with special emphasis on chi-squared and asymptotically normal test functions, Markov chains. Good opportunities will be available for work in these fields. Salary will be within the range 21895-xflos-22630 per annum. plus cost of living adjustments (at present £42 p.a.).
