France To Remain
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) PARIS, November 6, France does not plan to leave the Atlantic Alliance, Mr Georges Pompidou, the French Prime Minister, told journalists yesterday. Addressing a luncheon of Parliamentary reporters Mr Pompidou said, in reply to a question: “We have no plans to leave the Atlantic Alliance. “It is nevertheless true that the present working of the alliance, its organisation and strategy, no longer correspond to the needs of the defence of France and the West “It must be reorganised and completely remodelled.”
