Mr J. D. G. Duncan, of Wellington, ljas been appointed chairman of the Bank of New Zealand. Mr G. D. Stewart is the new deputy-chairman.— (P.A.) The Rev. Dr. lan Breward, of Dunedin, has been appointed to the chair of church history and history of doctrine at the Theological Hall, Knox College.—(P.A.) Mr V. G. Spiller, who has represented the boroughs of Riccarton, Ashburton, Rangiora and Kaiapoi on the Christchurch - Lyttelton Road Tunnel Authority since its inception, has been re-elected a member for another term of five years. Mr Spiller is deputy - chairman of the authority.
