Convicted On 11 Charges

AUCKLAND, Nov. 5. Offences committed in Auckland, Palmerston North, Rotorua, Te Awamutu, Hamilton and Motueka resulted in Terence Joseph Comber, aged 34, workman, of Mount Albert, appearing before Mr R. M. Grant, S.M., today facing 11 charges of false pretences, two of obtaining credit by fraud, one of forgery and one of theft. He was convicted on all charges and remanded until November 12 for sentence.
Sergeant L. Woodgate said in June, 1963, Comber opened an account at the Motueka Post Office with a deposit of £l. He added two figures to his deposit book to make it appear he had a balance of £341.
