LIGAR BAY EXPECTED

Bulk Cement Carrier (N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, November 2. New Plymouth will be the first New Zealand port of call for the new bulk cement carrier, Ligar Bay. The Ligar Bay is expected to arrive on November 30 from London, via the Panama Canal, to discharge 500 tons of cement ballast. . '£*>o new motor-vessel was built by Messrs Henry Robb, Ltd., of Leith, for the Tarakohe Shipping Company, a subsidiary of the Golden Bay Cement Company.

She is 227 ft long and Is designed to carry X2OO tons of bulk cement. After dry docking she will go into service carrying bulk cement from Tarakohe to Wellington, New Plymouth and Doubtful Sound. .
