TRAINING SCHEME
Businessmen Raise £4.6m. (Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, Oct. 30. Five hundred firms have raised £4,600,000 in four months towards the establishment of business-management schools in London and Manchester. They exceeded their target by £3 million. Lord Nelson of Stafford, head of the appeal committee, said he hoped £5 million would be raised by the end of the year. He had received a telegram from Mr Douglas Jay, President of the Board of Trade, reaffirming a pledge by Sir Alec Douglas-Home for a Government contribution.
